Energy and the EU
National security requires AI. AI requires energy.
The European Union is at a crossroads. Its economy has suffered badly over the last decade. Consider its GDP trajectory.
In 2015: US at $18 trillion vs. the EU $16 trillion
In 2025: US $29 trillion vs. the EU $19 trillion
Those are shocking numbers.
What will remain of the EU’s decades-long offensive against cheap and clean energy?
The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has hastened the demise of the myriad Green Energy and Carbon Offset scams invented by the United Nations in the nineties.
National security demands AI. AI demands energy.
Green is going bye-bye.
And let’s table the discussion that we could be entering a modern Ice Age for later.
I found the following charts of interest.
To be fair, if Democrats had won in ‘24 we’d be in worse straits than the EU.
One must question why they hate cheap energy so much.

China has very little fossil fuel and rapid expansion of solar/nukes is a necessity for the CCP, not just for AI, but for economic growth and a better standard of living. CCP also doesn't take any nonsense from lawyers and special interest groups that delay, delay, delay construction of nukes and fossil fuel generation in the US. I suspect the CCP secretly funds opposition in the US. If the US were serious about rapidly increasing generation to meet AI needs it should use fossil fuels. The US has them in abundance at a favorable price and they are available now. Nukes are the answer, but by the time the lawyers get done it will be way too late.
The graphic of sun and planet earth boggles my mind.
