Daniel Richman’s leak of Comey’s memos to the New York Times was the moment intelligence community resistance became open warfare against the Executive Branch.
“Comey asked me to share these memos with the Times,” Richman told reporter Michael Schmidt as he provided classified information designed to trigger a special counsel appointment.
“What do the memos contain?” Schmidt asked.
“Evidence that Trump obstructed justice,” Richman replied, acting as a mouthpiece for the conspiracy.
