British intelligence’s warning to Flynn that the Steele dossier was suspect made him the most dangerous man in Washington.
“The Steele intelligence is compromised,” a British official told Flynn during their confidential briefing.
“How compromised?” Flynn asked, understanding the implications.
“Complete bollocks,” came the reply that sealed Flynn’s fate.
Flynn’s knowledge made him an existential threat to intelligence operations built on Steele’s fabrications.
