What Was Found Under the Pyramids Could Rewrite 12,000 Years of History - Infographic
Visualizing the findings of Filippo Biondi and team
In March 2025, a team of Italian researchers quietly detonated one of the biggest archaeological bombshells of the century — not with a shovel, but with a satellite. Using Synthetic Aperture Radar, a technology that can peer through hundreds of meters of solid limestone from space, the Khafre SAR Project announced what decades of speculation had only hinted at: a vast, engineered subterranean complex directly beneath the Pyramid of Khafre at Giza. Eight cylindrical shafts plunging 648 meters into the bedrock. Twin cubic chambers each spanning 80 meters on a side. Spiral pathways. An interconnected network that may link all three pyramids and the Sphinx. And perhaps most hauntingly — a structural layout that mirrors, with eerie precision, one of ancient Egypt’s oldest creation myths. The claims are unverified, fiercely debated, and scientifically extraordinary. But as you’ll see in the infographics that accompany this article, the evidence, the mythology, and the timeline tell a story that conventional history cannot easily explain away — and that demands more study.
I found out about this research because the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast (#2443) featured an interview with Filippo Biondi, an Italian PhD in telecommunication engineering and signal processing expert who was part of the 2025 team. Biondi, a key member of the Khafre Pyramid Project, has conducted over 200 non-invasive scans since 2019 on sites like the Giza Plateau, Peru, and Russia, using advanced scanning technologies to reveal hidden features without excavation. His method involves satellite-based synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and Doppler tomography, where satellites at 600 km altitude capture radar snapshots that can penetrate underground layers for large-scale, remote imaging.
Here are a couple of infographics to help us visualize what Biondi and his team may have uncovered.
Biondi’s scans claim to uncover vast chambers about 80 meters in dimensions, vertical tube-like columns around 20 meters in diameter, and spiral patterns descending from the pyramid bases, forming an interconnected network linking the Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure pyramids with the Sphinx, extending to significant depths.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: we may have been walking over the most significant archaeological discovery in human history for five thousand years. The data is preliminary. The skeptics have valid questions. The Italian team owes the world full methodological transparency. All of that is true — and none of it diminishes the fact that something anomalous lies beneath the Giza plateau, something that multiple independent investigations spanning nearly half a century have detected, and that no one has ever been permitted to physically explore. The eight shafts. The twin chambers. The mythological fingerprints of the Ogdoad. The Taş Tepeler connection. The Sabian pilgrimages. The Edfu texts. What happens next depends entirely on whether the world demands answers or accepts silence. Share this. Talk about it. Push for independent verification and, ultimately, physical exploration of what lies beneath. Because if even a fraction of this proves true, the story of who we are and where we came from isn’t just incomplete — it hasn’t even begun.
If verified, these findings could rewrite history by suggesting the pyramids were part of a larger, advanced complex predating known Egyptian civilization, with Rogan calling it paradigm-shifting. And, if nothing else, more exploration at these sites will help fuel even more interest in these mysteries - and more tourism to these historic sites.
